This boat is for the light-tackle, saltwater angler. Depending on the targeted species and weather conditions, you can head offshore to do battle with anything that swims the ocean, or stay in the protected, always calm waters of the harbor to bend a rod. Up to 3 adult passengers are welcome, families of 4 will fit comfortably when 2 adults are bringing 2 small children. This boat has plenty of seating for everyone. A large T top provides shade and protection from the elements. Tackle, fuel and licenses are all provided. Just bring your food, drink and camera. Tackle ranges from 8 lb. spinning gear to 30 lb. conventional outfits depending on the targeted species. Remember, light tackle doesn't mean light fish!

All equipment provided is top-of-the-line and the operation is fully licensed and insured. From Sailfish to Tarpon we target them all. You can even bring home a snapper dinner if that is your goal. This boat is very flexible in the styles of fishing that it can provide. We offer 4, 6 or 8 hour outings. While fishing inshore you'll have a front row seat to some of the most expensive waterfront homes in the south. You'll also have a good chance of seeing a manatee, submarine or one of the worlds largest cruise ships. Offshore fishing is done very close to shore so time with lines in the water are maximized. On a clear day you can see 40 miles of shoreline, from Miami's Southbeach to the condos of Boca Raton. The boat is docked at the first canal inside Port Everglades which means less time running, more time fishing.

Your guide, Captain Ron Mallet, has over 25 years fishing in South Florida. He grew up fishing as a child and made guiding his full time career back in 1989. His reputation is known for producing action offshore chasing deep sea, big game species or inshore on the calm waters bending the light tackle rods. Captain Ron operates Fort Lauderdale's original light tackle charter service. He is regularly called on by the biggest fishing magazines and local newspapers for reports and expert advice and he has appeared on numerous television shows with his fishing adventures being the feature. From hard-core, tournament rigged, competitive angling to laid back entertaining, family outings, he's done it all over the years. If you are looking for a "hands on" style of fishing or want to fish the way the locals do, this is your boat. He also instructs and consults those looking to get into boating and fishing in the area. A few of his past clients and seminar attendees are now guiding themselves. Beginners and children are always welcome.
